Cinco De Mayo
Cinco de Mayo is a holiday that is celebrated by the Mexican culture. The holiday itself is in celebration of the victory at the Battle of Puebla, where the Mexicans defeated Napoleon III and the French forces. Pretty much anybody can celebrate this day, but mainly it is for anyone with a Mexican heritage or someone whose significant other is of Mexican descent. I do not believe this should become a national holiday, or that it ever will. It doesn't make much sense for the US to make it a holiday because we were not involved in the battle and it had really no effect on us.
